My husband Bob started having chest pains this morning and I took him in to the ER. They admitted him for observation overnight. Hopefully, everything will be alright. He has a history of triple heart by-pass, stroke and two heart stents Feb. 05. So would you all please keep him in your prayers tonight.......thanks so much! Marian

This afternoon we finally heard back from the hospital and everything seems to be alright. Which is good news...but don't understand why he was having the chest pains....and he has not had any more since last Wednesday. He is having pain now in his lower back which he has had an L-5 about 15 years ago in Memphis. It seems to be more in the lower back/hip area and radiating down his leg. Glad we are seeing his medical Dr. this Friday. He may need an MRI on his back again. I hope he will be able to hunt this deer season. I want to thank you all again for your prayers. May God Bless You! mariandeer

Glad to hear it wasn`t the worst case scenario,,hopefully that lower back pain is just a pinched nerve. Thanks for keeping us up to date ;D

Bob got some bad news from the Dr. this morning. Seems that the report we received from the nurse was not all true...he does have more blockage and if he continues to have chest pains closer together then he will have to go in for a cath...also, he can't hardly walk now. Had to get a wheelchair to get him upstairs to the Drs. office. He has scheduled an MRI on his lower back next Wed. at 3:00...he also said to be thinking about where I wanted him to go for back surgery....so please continue your prayers....Thanks so much! Marian

We still don't know anything except for the Doppler. It was very painful for him since he had to lay on his side for that. The findings were - no blood clot - The MRI failed because he was not pre-medicated for being claustrophobic and the pain in his back was so bad he could not be still. The Dr. re-ordered the MRI this morning and he was pre-medicated but still could not finish because of the pain. So we see the Dr. in the morning and see what he wants to do next. I did talk to him today by phone and we may have to give him a stronger pain meds and see if that will give him some relief. I am assuming that we will try again next week for another MRI. He may have to be put to sleep is my guess. Will know more tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your continued prayers. mariandeer

The Dr. put Bob on a stronger pain med to take every 6 hrs. I think it is working. He will not be able to hunt in the morning which is opening day! He will have to hang it up for awhile. Will take him back to the Dr. Monday to see if the pain med is working and have another MRI scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully, he will be able to get through this one! mariandeer
