I pick up a Mauser rifle in 308 cal. It have look like Japan writing and ser# on it. The cal. and model # is not noted. Where can I find info on this gun? I could get pix of gun if it will help. Thank Keith (kc5psd)

Did you try interpreting the language? Might be able to get some kind of idea if you can figure out what it says Pics would certainly help!

I got a web site and it look like a type 99 Nagoya arsenal rifle. 1923-1945 stock has been replaced.

Got your email!! It's easy to post pics here but first you need a hosting site. Most here use www.photobucket.com Once you get that you'll get a album where you can upload saved pics from your puter. The screen will look like this: Just Highlight the 3rd set of codes that are labeled img and copy/paste to wherevedr you want them to appear in your thread.

Personal experience I have none. However, Mauser has always been a reliable gun and I'm sure this would be no exception.
