So how do you do it? I tried some on a friends jig. not sure how much degree of helical there was but the blazers wouldn't stick down flat not sure if I am doing somthin wrong or if its just better to use a straight clamp!

Kasey- Try placing the vane with more of it sticking out of the clamp.

My Blazers have right helicals. If you did choose to go with a straight clamp, be sure there is some offset. Since I haven't fletched any of my own, so I am no help as to what is going on.

I just use a right helical clamp and no offset. Get awesome flight even at 55 yards.

I have heard alot of people saying they are having problems with the blazers sticking and alot who are saying they have no problems at all Go Figure ;D Make sure the vanes are cleaned of any release formula before applying glue and be sure the shaft is also clean of any dust or oils. As was suggested...leave a good amount of the vane exsposed from the clamp and do not push onto the arrow to harshly as to push the vane back into the clamp before releasing to set.
