Ok, let's say you are in the market for some new arrows. You've decided to buy a dozen Gold Tip XT shafts 3555 cost is about $60.
You've got everthing ready, your vanes, wraps, noks, and inserts.
So you go to the shop to get them. When you get there they got a sale, 1 dozen Beaman 400's already made(no wraps), will cut to length for $35.
What will you do? Continue on with your original plan or switch to the Beamans?

Where did you find your deal, Mike? ;D Without angering the shop owner, bring in a grain scale and weigh the bargains. I have read a couple of times in other forums, where someone bought the "bargain" arrows only to find the weight varied by as a much as 30gr. One of the guys was hard pressed to find 4 out of the dozen that weighed the same (or close). Me, if I wasn't able to get my Carbon Express Maximas, I would continue to get the Gold Tips. I don't know anyone who shoots Beaman's, so I don't know anything about them. My friends that shoot GTs, like them.

I found no deal, this was just a hypothetical question. One that I know could happen. And maybe for the reason you gave.
That is why I posted it. Sometimes deals aren't what they appear. And some for the reasons you gave Scott.
And BTW, I shoot Beaman, that is all I have ever shot. Probably going to buy some of them Gold Tips though.

One of the posters said they saw a deal on "selects" at a big box store. He went, bought, came home happy with the deal, until he started shooting. Even though they were the same brand & style he had been using, his shots were very erratic. Then he weighed the "bargain" arrows v. his old arrows. Needless to say, that post opened up a debate about buying from big box stores v. local bow shops. Do local shops get the "better" arrows, and the big box stores get the "seconds?" It was an amusing read...cause everybody has an opinion.

Opinions and experiences are a good learning tool. If someone had a bad experience, someone else might learn something from it.
