Well I have been wandering around IN`s small state owned woods for a while now and have seen alot of good tracks but nothing so encouraging that I will spend anymore time in the smaller woods. I have decided to start concentrating my efforts on the biggest woods in the state. The Hoosier National Forest, with several thousand acres to hunt and terrain as widely diverse as you can find in the midwest. I know it holds some of the states biggest deer bar none, it is just a matter of going through the acres and finding their home. The smaller woods are good if you can get lucky enough to get their early enough to get you a front row seat on a crop field, and now with the opening weekend of shotgun coming in 1 week I think I will be better off out where I can get away from the flying slugs.
