I'm not sure who all we have that hunts with dogs. I know there is one from England that does. Seems like I've seen a couple more.

I've got a friend with beagles we've used for bunny hunting. Other than that, nope.

We use them for rabbits also. On occasion we use some for squirrels.

Meet the boys , " Doc and Dice " their blood line is Bluetick and Bluetick / Black and tan cross . We only use them for Cats - Cougar , Lynx and Bobcat ! But they do like their work . Nothing they like to do any better than to be in the truck and going hunting . Regards Bullet

I haven't hunted with dogs for years. Here's some old pics though of my grandpa and his. He was a hellava coon hunter in these parts. This pic was around 1945 if I remember correctly. Another of him. Here's one of my ole mother in 1954. Little brother and I in 1959.

Great pictures Quigley , thems some great looking hounds their . Nightvision - we breed the dogs for trailing and treeing Cougars , the lost thing I want them to be doing is trying to kill a cougar . It don't take much of a cat to start slicing and dicing dogs , Vet bills are expensive . The most I have paid a vet to save a good dog to date was 1400.00 dollars the dog cost me 3500.00 to purchase . He made a full recovery and hunted and fathered a bunch puppies . Our cats ranged in weight this past season between 150 and 198 lbs. Every once in a while a big old Tom will refuse to tree and prefer to stand and fight . Thats when all hell usually brakes loose . The dogs are trained to run in below zero tempatures and belly deep snow . Actually it is their conditioning . they will be running on snow and ice . One cat this past season took them on a run for over 4 miles before going to tree the first time . They treed him 3 times before we stopped him for good . The same 2 dogs in the picture . The boy's were some tired after that hunt . I don't know of any breed of dog that would stand much of a chance against a cougar that can brake a cows neck with a single bit , and razor sharp claws on all 4 feet and will use all of them . I have seen them grab a dog with a front paw and run with their hind feet and rip the belly right out of a good dog . I a split second . Even hog dogs only have to deal with tusks . Treeing them is better and not as hard on dogs or your pocketbook ! Regards Bullet

Doesn't always happen, but we try to when we can.
