Hey team, good to see ya buddy, ever get any blood in that new truck?
Maybe next year when I get in a club and get to go hunting. This is the last weekend for gun hunting this year, Bows go for 2 more weeks and I don't have one yet.

I bow hunted a few years back, I had a PSE with Beman carbon arrows and Thunderhead 125 broad heads and I had a TM hunter rest on my bow. The only thing bad about hunting with a bow in Louisiana is that it is so hot and sticky and with the skeeters and cottonmouths it is just a hastle, but I am looking at going recurve this time.

Well there's been some pretty good conversations going on with BT and Scott about the recurve.

I have been reading all their posts. I just don't know any people that shoot recurve around here, everybody shoots compound. I have hunted with a bow but have had no luck killing a Deer with it, I have shot 1 deer with a bow and then it started to rain, I put a good shot on it, but we had to look for a deer with no blood trail and in the dark. The deer was found 2 weeks later 200 yards from my stand.I didn't like that.

Bowtech is the guy to talk to about recurves, teambateau. He has been a big help in aquiring my first one at a reasonable cost to be sure I like the traditional side. There are some traditonal forums around too. You may be surprised and find there are more people shooting recurves in your area than you think.

That is a horrible feeling, but the same thing can happen with a gun also. I lost one with a gun a few years ago.
Unfortunately that is one of the terrible events that can happen wether it is with a gun or a bow.

Boy did I miss alot! I had no idea that the traditional bows were getting so much thought around here. Way to go BT!! I know you had to have something to do with it. So how do you like it so far Scott?

I am awaiting delivery of my recurve, Ted. Check out my "Hey bowtech" thread. Sums up the whole thing. Just a lot of Traditional stuff happened lately, and my interest was peaked, so I asked bt for assistance.
The thread is in the General Archery forum.
