I could use a little help I think someone has hacked into my Computer system. For the last few days I've been trying to get my MNS Messenger to work but without results. It keeps telling me that there is an other Messenger running and won't let my MSN Messenger start up even though there is No other messenger running on my system. So I deleted the msn messenger 7.05 Off my system and when I went to re download it, it won't load onto my system now??. it's telling me that I don't have authorization and that I need to ask the person that has admin status in-able to load it on my system?, Even though I have full admin status on my system. Now I have an active windows firewall running as well as add aware & AVG anti virus running as well. any and all help would be greatly appreciated thanks. Ken

Mike is probably the guy to talk to, but I would email and urgent message to Microsoft about it. They should be able to figure out if someone did, who did it...or if it is a quirk, and what the patch is.

15pointer, depending on how old your computer is, the first thing I would have done is to do a system restore back to a date when you weren't having the problem. You still might be able to do this and recover the program.
I have had problems like this from time to time and this usually fixes it.
It is very simple. Just click on the start button.
Then click on the programs button
Then hold your mouse over the accessories
Then move over systems tools and find system restore and click on it.
This will bring up a screen that will let you restore your system to a date that you know it was working, just follow the onscreen instructions, it very easy, only take a few minutes.
Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I couldn't get it to work and was a little concerned as to why it wouldn't work, And when I went to reload it on my system, It wouldn't load on to it. kept telling me I needed authorization & that another Messenger was still running. Hence the reason I thought someone had Hacked into my system. Thanks Mike I forgot about the system restore application on my computer, Guess I was having a brunette moment there for a bit lol. I did manage to get it back threw the system restore and it's working fine Now. Also Scott I did send Microsoft an email explaining what it was doing, And how it was telling me I needed admin Authority to load it back on my system, but haven't heard back from them as yet?. thanks again every one for all the help. Ken
