About 4 or 5 yrs ago my dad tore his rotator cuff in his shoulder requiring surgery. This has prevented him from shooting any type of rifle or shotgun but not wanting to give up his favorite pastime he chose these to hunt with - pistols. He is very fond of the .41 caliber round and has 5 or 6 different pistols in this caliber, including some custom made but he's partial to the Ruger line. These are pictures of 3 of them - a Blackhawk, a Super Redhawk and a custom .41 cal. with another cylinder I believe is chambered for .45 cal., not as good as a bow but still something to behold.

Thosae are sweet!!. I know a few that are partial to pistols here in MI. In fact, I had a buddy take a 10 pt last year witha .44mag. at 8 yards. Said he'd have never got the shot any other way.

I'll try to get a picture of my favorite pistol of his - a custom T/C Contender that has some beautiful scroll work on the sides and his nickname etched on the barrel.

Here's a picture of a couple of his custom Contenders. The silver one is my favorite - the "Crawfish" Contender. These are also .41 cal. custom loads (411GNR, I think is what's it's called). My dad's nickname is "crawfish" and it's etched on this gun. It shoots really flat out to about 80 yds and is well balanced. Even though it's a big handgun it sits in your hand extremely well and is a joy to shoot. I'm trying to talk him into letting me take it to go deer hunting with, no luck yet. Every time I visit him we "play" with his toys and I get to spend some time with a pretty awesome guy.
