The start of my season-2006:
It was a weird spring for the deer carried their horn's till late spring.Which made for easier hunting for dropped horn's...
Found a total of 39 shedd's this year(one a couple week's ago too).
Shedd hunted in Canada and North Dakota this year...
One of the shedd's is a dropped one from my son Garrett's buck he shot in the youth season...(what a cool thing)
seen alot of buck's in spring,so that's a good sign...
Also while hunting dropped horn's I ran into a surprise,a batch of Diamond Willow's....I make cane's and walking stick's out of them(never seen any around here before)Alway's found them in Montana....
With two new addition's to our family,(a Salvage bolt action .17..and a Remington 12 guage shotgun,)the fun will never end....
Had my outdoor camera out this summer too and got some great pic's of some buck's and the doe's with their fawn's..
The fishing was just great this spring, summer and fall...catching my fill of walleye, pike, bluegill, perch, crappie and trout..
Also to catch a few lunckers to brag about....a rainbow trout at 24 inches @ 12#'s...
A crappie over 2#'s(getting mounted)...two bluegill's at 11 inches in length...So all in all it was a great summer for me in the outdoor's..Oh ya' just bought a fly reel and pole,so will be taking that up too.
My Great Uncle passed a couple year's ago,him and I were very close,so this summer his family gave me his trophy mule deer and whitetail horn's...And came back a month later and gave me his recurve bow(that's what I use to shoot year's ago)Was looking for one,now it's here and no excuses now(ha ha)...
I get to see wildlife everyday I'm out...With the Buffalo and Elk ranches around here. Also get to see a Bull Moose in the hill's when I'm in that direction..All kind's of deer, pheasant, quail, partridge and a turkey once in awhile..Even black bear's...(Couple times a year)..And the spotting of Cougar's..12 so far this year..
Coyotes up the wazoo,so varmint shooting is great too.
With my son's youth hunt(him getting a 4x4 buck) and us spotting many huge buck's in the area,it will be a great fall for my other son and I with both carrying buck tags....
People ask or say to me,Michael how can you be on disability and not be bored???I just think to myself,if you walked in my shoes, you would never have asked me that question....Now my friend's,does it look like I'm bored(ha ha)..Never in my life have I ever been bored....I love myself,my children and God....No I'm never BORED!!! ;D
So till deer season approaches, its gone for now and to be continued:
