If any of you dog experts can identify what breed of dog this is. The pic is from 1902 which I got off the Net. The photographer was the famous William Henry Jackson. (look him up)Jackson was the first person to photograph Yellowstone Park. I have this one hanging in my living room. Its an original 16-by-20" still in its original frame that I bought("stole" for $38 bucks) back in the mid 70s at a flea market. At the time I had no idea who the photographer was. I just loved it and still do. When my Ex and I split up, we fought over who should own it. It's titled "Billy" his name is tooled on his collar.I'm trying to get it appraised.

Reminds me of an irish setter and yet looks kindof like a golden retreiver. no idea but some cool looking photos. I sort of thought the same thing . When I bought the photo in 75 , I owned an Irish Setter. Billy's ears don't look "feathered" enough to be a pure-bred Irish.
