I had my Father-In -Law's name for Chritmas this year. I like making something for a gift rather than going out and buying an item that a lot of other people have..... more personal in my opinion.. Dad's a little difficult to "buy" for anyway, so I made him a pen & pencil holder which I put in the mail today headed for Pa..

Thanx Larry ! The base is made from Eastern Sassafras which was taken from a tree that Dad was kind enough to let me cut down on his property a few years ago. The antler is elk. I added two pieces of fossilized Alaskan walrus tusk to the tray. The small letter opener is made from a small Whitetail spike and it is holstered in a wild turkey wing bone.The note pad holder is made from a mouse trap. Here are some more pic's.
