Ok, I'm getting ready to make my purchase very soon. Still been researching and reading. I've narrowed down to the following and would like recommendations from you pro's. I am looking for a good hunting arrow that I could possibly use for some 3D as well.
My arrow length is 26 1/4 and I currently have my bow set at 58lbs.
Gold Tip Pro hunter 3555 7.4 gpi $84.99dz Carbon Express Maxima 250 7.3 gpi $99.95dz Carbon Express 3D Select 100 6.2 gpi $89.95dz
What do you think?

I will vote the CX selects but only in the 200 series
If this is not an option then I will go with the Maxima 250 simple because the 250 is splines lighter

Would there be a spine problem with the 100's?
200's are an option, I plan to buy them from KCS

The 100 is too light in spline IMO Your effective poundage and arrow leagth combine to make the 200 a better choice. At 50# you would be in the 100 shaft range but near 60# you are really pushing the envolope and may have a hard time tuning that arrow for consistant flight.

Thanks, really iching to get the arrows, but I want the best I can get for me and the best bang for the buck for overall purposes.

I will agree with Intruder that the XT shafts are best for the buck in some cases but only in the case of speeds below 260fps. and if you are willing to potentially have 2-3 flyers (in some cases) per box I use these shafts for my trad shooting and they are great at 160f.p.s. although flyers still arise on occasion. But at 260 they really fall apart when compaired to the CX shafts in my exsperience.

I was going to order right away, but I have decided to wait until I go to the expo and see what they got. Right now I'm leaning toward the 3D Select.

I would say that you are leaning the right way when money is not the determining factor

I haven't shot the Maxima 250 or the 3D Selects but I do shoot the Terminator Hunter Selects and love 'em. great hunting arrow and not a bad 3D arrow. I wanted an arrow that was strong, heavy and full of knock-down power. The Terminator at 11.0gr fit my bill perfectly. You can't go wrong with the CX line.

I love my CX Selects!! Great arrows and you can always find a deal that will equate to the GT's if you look hard enough!!
