It appears that we are having great difficulties with perspective new members getting their confirmation emails. Without this you won't be able to log in.
Should this happen to you, here are a couple things to check.
1. Make sure it is not being stopped by your spam blocker. Try turning it off it you haven't received it within a couple minutes.
2. I'm being told that if you use AOL, you may need to set up an email in Yahoo or Hotmail or one of the other internet email sites. For some reason proboards don't get along with AOL.
3. It appears that Verizon is another email that has difficulties, again try #2
Bottom line is we would love to have you as a member, so if you are having difficulties please let us know on this board so that we can try and help out.
Thanks, Mike

Also, just for a little more info:
I have heard of difficulty with home-based bellsouth.com addresses on specific servers, and those servers are: 15, 16, 17, 54, and 83. It does not kick every bellsouth adddress out, only certain ones.
This forum is on 54, so it would not be out of the question for certain addresses not to go through the confirmation process here.
This is an uncommon problem, but it has happened, so I figured I would toss it in for the good of the group.

If you are having a problem with receiving mail from proboards because you are on aol.
Put proboards on your buddy list and in your aol address book.
Mail is never spammed or refused if is on both of those.
Put Proboards as the buddy name and nobody@proboards.com as the address.

Good tip, and I think it might work with other email providers as well.

Every time I register on a new site I use Hot mail to keep from having this issue, It is free, and you can keep your primary e-mail from getting overloaded.
