As alot of you know I build bow strings and have Highlander Custom strings. With the bow string material becoming more and more available across the internet it is easier for an individual to buy a spool rather than having to order a pre set amount from the manufacturer. I have always been a die hard Brownell String material guy, great string material and decent prices. I recently got into the BCY materials and really like them as well, the 8125 is my favorite. The 452X has become the rage among builders and archers but for the money it isn`t the best choice in my opinion. First it is almost $50 a spool, plus it only has a 95 lbs. single strand breaking strength. That translates into more strands (22-24) and using up more material and being less cost efficient. Yes it has a great anti fuzz factor, but the BCY 8125 is equally as anti fuzz and alot cheaper and uses less strands per string due to a 120 lbs. single strand breaking strength. BCY even posts that the 8125 is their fastest string and I have become very impressed with it. It comes in a very wide array of colors and is easy to work with and has almost zero creep. So if anyone here is into building their own strings or is going learn try the BCY 8125, I don`t think you will be disappointed. You can get on Ebay on ShootersEdge ebay stoire,,he is great to deal with and ligtning fast shipping.
