I am pretty big on reading lots of books on anything concerning my hobbies and past times, and I usually go to the library and get about ten books at a time, of which 1/2 provide good reading material. Well, this trip provided me with The Bowhunters Handbook by M.R.James, which was far and beyond the best book I've checked out in a long time. Now I'm pretty cautious if I dont know the author, and in this case I dont. He does seem to have some pretty good credentials though, including several dozen entries in the pope and young record books, so he must know more than I do. Anyway, this book has a lot of information in it, stuff that I'm sure even very experienced hunters will find helpful. It is not written as a book for beginners. It is also copywrited 2004 so the info is pretty current.
The book is divided into 2 sections. The first section is all about equiptment and techniques, the second deals with strategies for specific animals.
Anyway, check it out if you can.
