Has anyone used or know of anyone using this fall-away rest? I was reading an article about it and liked the fact that Cavalier offers a model specifically made for PSE bows. The article wasn't very specific about performance but it did say that "although difficult to set up for the novice once done it performs flawlessly." I don't particularly like the fact that the cable connects to the slide but I figure that's easily fixed by serving it into the buss cable. I do like the launcher/arrow holder, very sturdy looking. I currently use a Trophy Taker Shaky Hunter SL rest and have had no problems, except those I created. I'm just looking at new things, as always, trying to make my equipment as good as I can and become as good an archer as possible.

No experience with it but I like the idea of tyying into the cable slide. I do that with the dropaways I use and it works very well.

I had one! My first drop away! liked it but it was a bit loud on the drop and a bit bulky ..... still can't beat the trophy taker!

Probably the only thing I don't like about the Trophy Taker is the mounting bracket does not fit flush against the riser of my Carrera . I had to use a spacer to make up the difference & I've never felt comfortable doing that. The only other way to fix it was to cut/grind the mounting bracket so it would fit into the cutout on my riser (don't particularly want to do that either). As far performance goes as I've said I haven't had the first problem except ones I've created. One interesting thing I did see on Cavalier's site is the arrow holder for the Avalanche. It looks like 2 pipe cleaners on either side of your arrow holding it in place until you draw... hadn't seen one like that before. I may try to get one before bowseason comes in. If I do I'll let everyone know what I think about the Avalanche.

I emailed Richard Tone at Cavalier Archery concerning warranty info and any problems that they've had with this rest. This is the email I received back;
Pete,
Yes this rest will work on your bow. The rest comes with a standard one year warranty and to this point we have had very few probolems with the flat spring. I will send out a catalogue to your address.
dick
Hopefully, the catalogue will provide a little more info and I won't have any problems. As soon as I get an Avalanche rest I'll have a TT Shakey Hunter SL for sale - cheap.
