My best friend Kieth is from there,he was raised in the Crazy's(Third generation trapper)he's 66 years old now(some great stories about the hunts up there).. The biggest Mule Deer I have seen is from up there and on his wall............ I hope you ask the local's how these Mountain's got their name The Crazy, was a good one...

Foss ~ I heard some of the story about how the Crazys got it's name... has something to do with a woman getting lost there.

Foss ~ I heard some of the story about how the Crazys got it's name... has something to do with a woman getting lost there. When the Territories were here, the wagon's were going through to Oregon...One family got run into by the Indian's....They killed her family and couldn't find her-she went nuts,so the Indiand's left her alone(because of the bad spirits) she was carrying.... Word has it she died in those Mountains...
