I voted more than two months. Not counting this year, because I did none.
In years past, I would squirrel hunt 3-4 times prior to deer season.
Then we would go bird hunting at least once a month throught the season.
Hunted, quail, chukkar, and pheasant.

You know what?!....I miss it too I really loved to bring a full bag of bushytails home after a 6hr. trek in the woods. I really have to give the season the time it deserves....I always had alot of fun at it.

I could have shot a ton of them this year while I was deer hunting. If I could have seen as many deer as I did squirrel, I would have been in heaven.

I have until the end of March. Just picked up my small game license a week or so ago when I got my spring turkey license.

Now that there may be closer to the truth than you may think. Used to be a time I could go 10 miles and hunt rabbits. Now it's closer to an hour drive!!

I am always in the woods opening day of squirrel season and try to go every weekend until early archery opens. I find it is a good way to kill 2 birds with one stone, as I do most of my deer scouting while squirrel hunting. I will alternate my times in the woods as it gets closer to early archery, 1 day go out before dawn, next day go before sunset, so i can watch fields and paths.
