CO Troy V. checked two men and a 5 y.o. along an Oceana County trout stream. The two men denied fishing and said they had no fish. The 5 y.o. said, "What about the one in the trunk?" A consent search revealed one large brown trout with puncture wounds. CO Troy returned to the stream with the men and was able to locate a hidden pitchfork near where they had been standing. The men denied ownership of the farm implement until the youngster wanted to know what CO Troy was going to do with daddy's pitchfork. The men confessed to spearing the fish and were ticketed.
True story from "Cuffs & Collars" in this issue of Michigan Outdoor News. I might find more good ones, but I have only read my district so far.
