2 lbs. ground venison 1 lb. deer sirloin cubed 1" 3 oz. chili powder 3 tbs. ground cumin 1/2 tbsp. cayenne pepper 1 lg. red onion chopped 1 bell pepper red or green 1 16 oz. can crushed tomato 2 8 oz can tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1 can beans (optional) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1-2 sprigs chopped cilantro
Brown meat in large skillet in oil until the redness is gone. add onion and bell pepper and cook until onions are clear. In large pot add tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt and cilantro.. Bring to a simmer. Add meat and onions and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Is a good gut warmer on a cold night. Mix up some Mexican cornbread and a few beers and enjoy.
