Haven't tried it yet personally, but from what I've read it works great!!! Take your nock off. Take a drill bit that will just slide inside the arrow shaft, put your nock back on and swing the arrow like you are cracking a whip. This will drive the drill bit from the nock end to the rear of the insert with such force that it will eventually knock the insert loose. It may take a couple of swings, but it always works.***Disclaimer**** If there is any damage to your arrow as a result of this procedure, refrain from using that arrow. A damaged arrow can cause serious injury*****

Interesting, might just work. I'll have to give it a shot and see if it will work.

Let us know Mike!! I've been told by a lot of people that this will work with even the most stubborn of glued inserts.

Ok, I did the test.
I used a 7/32 drill bit. It worked like a charm.
Takes a little practice getting the swing right. Some swings failed to make the bit slide through the shaft.
Mine took about 4 swings. Should have stopped after the third.
On the third swing the insert was about 3/4 the way out. I believe at that point you can just remove it with your pliers.
I went ahead and swung the 4th time and the insert and drill bit went flying.
I was in the garage so no problems. But for safety purposees and to avoid any possible damage to anything I would stop at 3/4 and pull it the rest of the way out.
Glue has already been broken loose at that point anyway.
Good find Ted.

I just take an old FP and a Zippo lighter and heat the FP up thats threaded into the insert like normal, and pull out the insert and FP from the shaft with some pliers :oLet cool for a few min and unscrew insert from Fp.
*Disclaimer- If the arrow gets to hot it will vaporize you and the arrow ::)So all evidence is gone without a trace so I cant be blamed!!!!!! ;D
