I guess some or most of us have now seen what the Archery manufactures have rolled out for '06 (?) I was very disapointed to see BowTech give up on building faster bows The Black Knight 2 should stand alone for along time as far as the top gun in that class But , what have you seen this year that looks like the top shelf item (or items) That you would pay the price for ?.

To avoid temptation, I have really not looked at many so far, I did take a glance at the Bowtech and Mathews websites, but I don't want to get a case of the wants. ;D
I have decided to start buying a few pieces of equipment and learning how to use them to maybe become more self reliant.
So I have kinda stayed away, because I already know that I would want one. ;D

I haven't checked on a price for it yet, but I want Double Bull's "Wild Thing." Not only does it carry my blind and up to two chairs, but it also holds my bow, too. Even has a camelback compartment for water.

Double Bull blinds are the best. You pay for it, but they are the best made blinds, IMO. I have the Matrix. Shoot through mesh, or open window for turkey and other game. Because the inside lining is black, it is recommended to wear black from the waist up, wear a black glove on the bow holding hand, and have black on the limbs. Not as critical when shooting through the mesh, but still recommended. www.doublebullarchery.com/index.html

As stated in another post on here, I have the Reflex Excursion. It is made at the Hoyt factory, using Hoyt cams, and more than likely a Hoyt riser and limbs. I have roughly $650 in the whole set-up from sights to limb silencers. They may sucker some people into paying $700 for a stock bow, but not this white boy. ;D

Thing is... I don't think you can get a version of the tricon in a reflex yet

Not yet, but I will be the first in line as long as the price is reasonable.

PSE has some interesting new bows in the regular PSE line and the Browning and AR lines. But they too have gotten away from speed and leaning more towards fancy and expensive. The boat tail limb design is interesting in itself but will have to wait and see the test of time on that.I am disappointed in their risers and cams this year.I haven`t seen 1 riser under 7 inch brace height.I guess the days of the old speed risers is gone with some of the manufacturers,I did get lucky on ebay and got a PSE Nitro for $124,,it was the last of their speed risers and can`t wait to shoot it and see how it acts. Have wanted a 6 inch BH for a long time.

the STS(shock terminating system) awesome product for the compound shooter takes all hand hand shock out, and if there is any string "twang" left after the shot, this will suck it up...great product, IMO well worth the $40 www.stsarchery.com
