OK guys I watch ALLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOT of hunting shows and read alot of reviews in Mag's and on-line and via word of mouth. I gave in to the HIT insert technology and broke down and bought a DZ Beman Black Max shafts. I have herd alot of good things about these arrows. I choose them over the Easton Axis because of 2 reasons: 1) the Black Max is a straighter arrow, 2) the Black max is heaver Gpi than the Axis and 3) the Black Max is cheaper than the Axis. What is your take on these arrows , Have you shoot them or do you know of a buddy that has. I will pick up my arrows tomorrow after work, due to having to sit for 24 hrs for the Epoxy to cure. So I will fletch and wrap them tomorrow night and shoot them on Saturday. Here is a link to Beman and Easton sites to compare arrow specs as I have done .Looking for all feedback good, bad or Ugly . If I like or dislike them a review is going to be put out regardless. Elk season is 29 days away and I have to get this done now. If the arrows are to my dislike I can always use the Ole reliable Cx 200's or my Easton ACC 3-49's to hunt with this yr. ;D

REVIEW in IMHO
Got them today and I am fletching them up as I type .I cant waite to shoot them in the morning . I used 2" Blazers and a Flo Orange wrap kinda my signature colors 2 Orange and 1 white.
Well I went and shoot these arrows with my buddy today on the 3D course and just shooting at the bags in the yard. I have to say that these arrows group very well with my setup, about the only thing I have to say is I needed a pair of vise grips j/k LOL! to tune the tunable nocks for my odd vane out for my TT Rest :)I really did NOT use vise grips to tune the nocks ,just saying the nocks were very tight in the shaft which is a good thing .The other drawback is that when you put in the insert it is there for good the epoxy has to cure for 24 hrs on a flat surface, before you can even fletch or shoot the arrows or the inserts will not seat right in the shaft. I had NP what so ever with getting the arrow to accept my Sonic Pro Bh's , but I took advise and used the G5 arrow squaring devise at my local shop Thanks for the heads up Skipmaster.
