Yeah, it seems to be taking a long time for the leaves to change this year. They just got the corn out this week.

Looks like a great area, I love them ladder stands. A lot easier to get into, and I can sit in them longer.

Yeah, it certainly was!! We had all kinds of signs around us and even saw a few after daylight. Unfortunately we never made it back. Hopefully I'll get another chance this year!!

Here is a picture from the stand my bro and I call "The Waterhole" I took my doe from this stand on Oct. 1st this year. She was at 22 yards just on the other side of the stream.. sitting in the stand i can watch the trout swimming up and down that pool. Keeps me occupied!! ;D

That trout stream looks exactly like one where I hunt. They are a great spot to locate deer. Walk the banks until you find tracks. The deer will usually cross at the same place over and over.

Michi...They cross almost directly below my stand, and another spot about 25 yards downstream. During dry weather, the pool directly below my stand is the only water in this area. The deer sign at this time is unbelievable. That is actually how we found this spot. We were walking the dry streambed, looking for deer crossings in the sandy bottom.

And you say it took you How many years to get your first deer? I'm amazed at that Tedi!! You have some great thoughts when it comes to hunting. I can only say you are a true hunter with your persistence after so many lean years!!
