Who all uses them? I just bought my first one this year.... Bushnell Trophy 800. Ranges from 5-800yds, 5 power optic which can double as a monocular for checking out things magnified for more detail. I've come to like it alot, very handy. Who has 'em, and which do you have?? Here's mine:

Never used one, but I could definitely see the benefits of having one. Especiallly on longer rifle shots!!

I've always wanted one, even though I really don't need one. Most of the places I've ever hunted are thick and shots are within 25-30 yards. But you know how it is, just one of the toys you'd like to have.

I bought an Opti-Logic. One of the XTA series. They are designed for bowhunters as one mode is for use from treestands. It automatically calculates the triangulation for an accurate yardage reading. They also have a narrower beam to "shoot through the brush." They are fairly inexpensive...about $250 depending on where you buy it. While I most likely won't need it here in MI, but will be good in helping me learn to judge distances. It will also be a benefit for 3D shoots. www.opti-logic.com/xt_series.htm

we have a field we target shoot in and my buddy sits on a 600 yard field and to mark them off we used a 150 yard long string and drove white painted 2x4 every 150 yards sure would have been easier to use a range finder

I don't go anywhere without one anymore. First one I bought was the Bushnell yardage pro 1000 a few years ago. Still have it. Bought a Nikon 800 this year. Couldn't turn it down for the price. A buddy needed money and let me have it for $150...still in the box.

I just got the Bushnell Yardage Pro for Christmas. I really have not used it much, but it was great for checking out my yardages at my target range in my yard.I measures 5-999 yards depending on color and reflectivity. I have measured up to about 800 yrds with it meesing around. I was very pleased with the price I think I bought it in ebay for like $100 ;D The real test will be how good it works in the field this archery season and rifle season can't waite ;D
