I've been looking at them for a couple of years. Just haven't decided which way to go. What are your recommendations?

Went over to a buddy's house this eve, he just bought a grayling a couple weeks ago. Put 7" white crest w/logo and new orange vanes on a dozen arrows. Can't believe how easy it was. The arrows look great. Much better than the old wore out feathers and no crest. michi I must admit, for $25 that Grayling worked great.

tedicast is right about the Bitzenburger bgeing a higher quality. But that's like comparing a Benelli to a Remington to me. They'll both get the job done. But with the Remington, you'll be able to buy more shells!! ;D And yep, it's that easy!! ;D

What are those images on the wraps? Looks like a deer head. Can you get a blow up of them?

Sweet!! You know that target I did with the dayglo? I'm thinking of using that to crest a few arrows and see how they come out. Should be interesting if nothing else!!

You might have to scuff them lightly with some high girt sandpaper so the paint would adhear better and not pull off with the fletching. But you might just be onto something

Thanks for the link. Very interesting idea. My last batch of arrows were wrapped with black tiger stripes on white. I am getting a Blitz for fletching. Not sure how to wrap though... Nice looking arrows Mike.

Ok, got it narrowed down to the Grayling and the Bitzenburger. I know there is a price difference but, my buddy that just bought the Grayling said he had a hard time getting it balanced. Is this common? How about the Bitzenburger, how is it to set up? Let me know your experiences, I'd like to get one fairly soon.

While I do not yet have any experience with any of them, the Blitz came highly recommended from several people who have their own, or work in shops. My local shop uses the Blitz. One person told me their is a small learning curve, but one should get the hang of it very quickly. Which is why I am going to do my learning after the season. I have enough arrows ready to hunt & practice.
I never heard of the Grayling before...not even in other fletching threads.

Grayling is $29.99 --------------- Bitzenburger is $59.99 Hmmmm...small learning curve, $30 difference, balance problem.....Whats a hunter to do. Scott

They work exactly the same way!! Ones just a cheaper (don't mistake that as junkier) material. Do a search on AT for Grayling and you'll see just how popular they are!! If money's not an issue, go with the blitz!! Is it worth twice as much? NO!!! Not in my opinion!! I've had my grayling for almost 5 years without one problem.

I'm all about saving the $30. I was just concerned about him saying he had problems getting the balance set. Not even sure if that is a big deal or not. What do you think. Did you have any problems with that?

What balance? The spacing? Mine are exactly 120 degrees apart. It locks into place rather firmly. I'm very happy wiith mine.

That's what I was wondering, he's kinda of an idiot. And it did do a good job.

I'm not sure if you can see it in this pic, but this is my table when I do my fleetching!! The grayling is at the edge of the table right above the arrows.
