I have seen the ads for the Tioga in outdoor life mag.since I was a little kid and have always wanted to go there. Well... it was a let down but not too bad. (what stacks up against a fantasy right?! ;D) The folks there were friendly and attentive and the food was out of this world good and plenty The preserve has two areas for hunting. One area is 450 acres and the other a bit over 250. (Once again... a good size for the Northeast) If the hunter sets the rules , that hunter can have a great hunt with a bow on the smaller area or either gun or bow on the larger area. (Rules in regaurds to not hunting a fence line or feeder) The living area is about as good as a run down hunting camp but it is fairly clean. Although I wouldnt take a woman there,it should be fine for a guy The practice area is a joke but at least there is a place to sight in and shoot the bag to make sure everything is on and ready. all in all...not a bad place and I would give it a 5.5

As you said, "what stacks up against a fantasy....". I see ads for outfitters with massive bucks, or bull elk, and it would be a letdown if I came home with anything less. But I know it is just an indicator of what is out there. I get out of it what I make happen.
Thanks for the review.
