Will keep my fingers crossed for ya Dragon,,should be some great ares up in your neck of the woods for dove. I know when I have been up in that area on the way to Gary and or Chicago I saw a ton of them.

I usually go every year down to Royal Flushent on opening day. Cost $50.
The last two years haven't been any good. Just was to damn hot.

Michigan is curre44ntly in a fight fore a dove hunt. We had a limited area hunt last year for the first time but it was pulled as a result of anti's campaigning againsst it. Looks like iit will be on the ballot this fall. Hopefully the Governor won't feel we got enough already with the passsage of law reducing age limits this yr..

It's up to us hunters to spread the word to others and get everyone actually VOTE. Some hunters can be very apathetic. They will complain, but won't do anything which requires them to get off their butts. Anti's on the other hand will vote and are currently getting their (misinformed) word out.

I think there's a good thing that Fla just passed where when you go apply for a hunting/fishing license you can immediately sign up as a voter as well. Just a check box on the application. It would certainly help our cause.
