Have you done it? would you do it? do you want to do it? Lets hear some thoughts here and remember...EXOTICS! ___________________________________________________________ I live for a good hunt that is fair and tough and exotics are just a bonus. I have been to preserves that I have just walked straight away from in the past but there are others which I have nearly run the guide over trying to get into the stand ;D For me it just depends on what it is and where it is

I never have, I have a problem spending the amount of money that most want for them.

Well then you would vote "I would only hunt free range" To tell you the truth...By the time you do most hunts your near or over the cost of a preserve hunt .

That very well may be. I don't really know. I just know the one's the guys go that I hunt with once in awhile. They go to the ones that cost 4-5 thousand. And to me that is just a bit too much. Especially when there are no guarantee's.

Yeah thats a bit out there alright ;D I can go to Texas and hunt hogs (no limit) for three days (with lodging) for $1,100. including the plane fare and rental car Also can go hunt Hogs at any northern Preserve for about $600. everything included. To me that aint to bad once or twice a year. I have done some big hunts but for the money , I get alot more enjoyment hunting rams and hogs

No, that wouldn't be out of the question, especially the $600 dollar one. But when you get up there in the multiple thousands, that is just not for me.

Hey Mike,,there is a Elk Preserve up in northern Indiana I want to check out,,if it was around or under $2000 I would go, I figured by the time I went out west and got my hotel room, payed for my meals and spent a couple of days trying to find an elk on unfamiliar territory I would have blown that much or maybe more.I have a brochure on it around here somewhere when I find it I will post it on here.

Thats a real low price for an Elk which generally run 5K I have a place in Maine for $800. for a cow. Its all meat to me so if it does not have horns it does not matter

That's pretty much how I am. I'm not obsessed with horns. No don't get me wrong, I would truly love to shoot a biggin, but I'm basically looking to fill the freezer.
I wouldn't have anywhere to hang an elk rack anywy. I'd have to put a big hole in the roof of my small house. ;D

Most of my hunts are just the tags...I get to hunt close to home with deer..(Whitetail) When I want to hunt Elk,Mule deer, antelope and Turkey,I just head back home to Montana..For a combination tag of $650.00(if I remember right)..I stay at my brothers..So only gas to get there... So most of my hunting is affordable... ;D If was to pay for a big hunt,it would be a Moose hunt in Northwest Territories....(My dream hunt) As for Exotic hunts-It would be a Fallow Deer or Stag hunt.....
