Yesterday afternoon I was out shooting my bow and using some of my PSE Carbon Force 200 arrows. Out of the 6 arrows I have one that is extremely Loud when I shoot it. It sounds like a 22 rifle being shot!
I visually inspected it, I flex tested it, spin tested it and then I changed the nock about 4 times. Every time I shoot that arrow it remains Loud! It groups perfectly with all the other arrows and it flies perfectly. What makes this arrow so loud?
I think my wife will be getting a new stake for her garden!

My first guess would be a burr. But if you can't figure it out dick, no one can!!

All the arrows in the group weigh in at 375 grains, + or - .2 grains. The nocks are snug, but pop off the string easily, I even changed nocks 4 times trying to figure it out. It is not the arrow in flight that is noisy it is the arrow at release makes the Bow LOUD! Like a Dry Fire! I think that the arrow may have developed an internal weak spot or crack. That arrow has now been delegated to my wife's bin of garden stakes! dick

Does it group with the rest of them? If there's a weak spot I'd venture to say the spine is going to make that a NO!! I'd personally contact PSE and send em back the arrow for them to figure out what happened. Or at the very least, let them know what you discovered. May keep them on their toes for any future problems saving the rest of us from a similar fate.

about the only thing that could be done would be to Xray the arrow shaft, that is a oddity that it makes the bow loud and not the arrow loud in flight. From the sounds of it you covered all the bases GP, I would definately call PSE and talk to one of their reps about it.

I agree with contacting PSE, at least so that there R&D can look into it.
Might just be that one arrow or it could be 1 out of every X amount.
