Do you think bows are becoming to light it seems like the lighter the bow the more vibration dampener's you need to place on it,to take away the vibration. And noise

Yes alot of the new bows have dropped their mass weight, but there are alot that have retained their vibration and noise suppression. Alot of it depends on the set up, if you shoot lighter arrows you will hear more noise, different string materials will have different noise levels on bows. Alot of it is just setting it up and finding that bows sweet quiet spot .

Heavier arrows are the key. They will absorb most of the energy that develops into sound and vibration. Todays bows are a lot faster and with speed comes vibration which in turn equals noise. But there's always a silver lining and that happens to be less distance guessing with the faster bows. Not a bad tradeoff in the end considering that you can always quiet a bow down to an extent using Sims technology.

Personally I like a heavy bow. 7 1/2# is about right but then again....carrying it is another thing The recurve is the best bet for the woods and the compound for the 3-D range. If I was hunting pronghorn maybe I would take the heavy rig for those long shots at small targets

Tech. Mine weight's just a little over 6 fully dressed out. I like the weight of it over some of my friends lighter bows.

Keeping your bow tuned as well as possible and using only the silencers needed will aid in quieting a bow greatly. Heavier arrows will take alot of the noise out of the shot, thats why I tuned matilda up to the IBO that I did so I can shoot heavier arrows and still have good speed.
