Lets say you were going to buy a bow. Now, there are only 4 different bows to choose from and they were all about the same price. Which one would you buy and why?
The bows are:
Mathews Switchback Hoyt Trykon PSE Mach X Browning Illusion

Last summer when I went to try out some bows, I really thought I wanted a Hoyt. After I shot my four bows, the Switchback came out #1. Try all bows and let the bow tell you which one to buy.

I agree with what everyone has said already. I went this yr to buy a new bow and had it narrowed down to 3 bows and the one I wanted the most ,didnt even compair to the #3 bow on the list and I bought #3 cuz it just called out to me and felt better in my hand than the #1 or #2 bows. Give Martin a look to mike before you narrow it down to them 4 high end bows. I love my Saber and it was about $300 less than all 4 of those. The Benagal looks like a sweet bow too and it MSRP is $399 to start out. www.martinarchery.com

I guess I should clarify this post.
I'm not looking for a bow, (unfortunately ;D ) I'm just trying to generate conversation on the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Converstations such as, I would choose the Switchback because.....
I thought it would be a good way to get some good points about bows. I know that some have the Switchback, some have the Trykon, some want the Mach X.
I thought it would be a good way for some to get first hand information on some bows prior to going looking.

For me, the only reason I chose the Switchback was because it felt the best to me. Had I not read a post on the old Hoyt forum about shooting several bows first, I would have went in and bought the Hoyt based upon what I had read from happy shooters. It wouldn't have been the best bow for me, though. While it is nice to generate good points on bows, I believe the best thing is to go in and shoot as many as possible and let the bow dictate the purchase.

For me I would go 1.Browning Illusion 2.PSE Mach X 3. Hoyt Trykon 4. Switchback The Illusion I have heard alot of guys that were switchback owners and they tried them and sold their switchback and got the Illusion,,was faster, lighter, less handshock and just an all around highly stable bow, the switchbacks aren`t all that for speed and energy, don`t get me wrong Mathews makes some awesome bows and they do have some of the best cams out there, but IMO they are highly overated. I would buy a PSE Nova Or Thunderbolt before I would buy an actual Mathews bow.JMO

I would go for the PSE. I hunted with a PSE Thunderflight for 12 years and it still shoots like a new one. I put that bow thru some punishment! Don't know how the other bows would hold up. JMO
