Ok guys here goes, I sold the BK2 for a new bow should have it this Friday. It is a 06 Martin Saber with Dyna Cams. Below are the Specs and the Martin website. I have to give credit to Michhunter(Ted) and his buddy Paul from AT, they were great helps in making my final decission The New Martin Saber is the hunters dream bow. With such a great price, it is hard to believe what you get. Super speed and good looks is only the beginning. The Saber will slice through the competition on the 3D course or drill the biggest deer of your life. Man I shoot it on Monday and I fell in love at first site , so smooth on the draw and felt one with the hand 06 Martin SaberThe accuracy starts with a super tough riser, machined to accept limb pockets that mount to exact tolerances. The New Saber is also fitted with a pair of VEMs that reduce noise-causing vibration. The light weight and quiet Saber will help you be an effective bowhunter this season. See your local dealer and pick up a Saber today. Limb Style: SE Axle to Axle: 32 3/4" Brace Height: 8 1/2" Dyna-Cam 26-31" 300FPS Nitrous Tru Arc + 24-30" 295 FPS www.martinarchery.com/?page=bows&bow=saber

Congrats on the new bow Matt Those ultra high speed bows are great but there is alot to be said for comfort, sounds like the saber will be a sweet shooter and easy in the tree. Thats one of the reasons I chose the bow I did, it has a medium cam on it, with my arthritis in my shoulder it was getting tougher to use the hard cams anymore. Now you and the Mrs. can burn up the targets ;D

;DOk Guys got the new Martin Saber today all set up and ready to go. I took a few pics so you can see . I also added a pic of the MBG Photo Chromatic upgrade kit I bought for my SkyLight Site for $15. The bow was chroned at 27" DL with 61# Dw and a 334 gr arrow CX200 at 253 fps :-[so I only lost like roughly 30 fps from my BK2.If you look at the pictures of me shooting you can see the new MBG PhotoChromatic in action . Man I am very pleased with my New Bow [purple]06 Martin Saber[/purple] [purple]MBG Skylight Photo Chromatic Upgrade Kit[/purple] [purple]Saber Top View[/purple] [purple]Me shooting the Saber[/purple] [purple]Me shooting the Saber Again[/purple]

That's great Matt!! Give us the lowdown!! Are ya shooting better? You sound disappointeed in that speed. Don't be!! Shot placement kills, not speed!!

I got a great idea guys.... Just let your wifes know you really want them to join you on the range.....and when you get your new bow....you'll buy her one too! Great looking bow Elk4me! Martin makes a mighty fine bow. And speed isn't everything....placing the shot where it counts is what matters. You could have my 21inch actual draw along with my 41#'s ..... I'd be more than happy to have your draw and poundage....but long arms on someone that under 5 foot would look really strange.

Great looking bow Matt Your form looks good too,,although if it were me I would try a 1/2 inch longer draw. From the looks of the pic I think you might be a little more at rest at full draw,,but thats just me,,the pic may not be doing your true form justice and you may be dead on but just MHO. I think you will be happy with that Martin,,like they said speed isn`t everything,,just keeping plugging the bullseye and get ready for Elk season

As suggested bye Hoosier and Mitchunter I have legenthened my DL to 27.5" bye moving the string on the cam from the #2 position standerd Mod Dl, to the #1 position on the cam . I do feel alittile more comfortable at FD than before. If I need .5" less of DL I would of put it on the #3 peg on the cam. I really like the bow so far it is day 2 AB (after Bowtech), and I dont have any complaints yet! I feel that it is a great bow with a good forgiving BH and very comfortable in the hand which way one thing I was looking for. I shoot the Diamond Rapture and it just didnt give me the same feel as the Saber did ;D. I feel that the bow is a winner in my book. I know it dosent have Blazing speed at 253fps @ 61# 27" Dl and a 334 gr arrow. But I have come to realize a fast miss, is STILL a miss . So all in all I am very happy with the bow I measured the Decibile level of the bow after the shoot and it is at 63 dcbl's. So it may have some tweakin to get that # down a bit , but I think it will work rather well for me! ;D. I would deffinately recomend it to anyone that is not hooked on speed and looking for a forgiving BH good ATA but it is kinda wierd I lost 5 1/2" of ATA from the bowtech to this one. Good weight at 4 lbs. I have talked to a few ppl that shoot for Martin and say that the Saber is kinda a baby brother to the Slayer alot of the same concepts in the Slayer are incorporated into the Saber at a fraction of the price. So if some one is looking for a good affordable midrange price bow MSRP $349.00 I would highly check out the Saber.
