today was our opener, so I headed out with the bow, I was sitting down in my blind at 5:30 at 6:10 I had 3 toms 3 jakes and 6 hens fly down in front of me, they fed around until about 7:30 then they were at 85 yards heading in my direction(50 is my max range with bow) here comes construction crew to build some dams......so that morning was spent, the cat work is done now, so I hope tomorrow goes better ;D

went back out this morning...sat down again at 5:30 but this time I moved with the blind about 100 yards over to the spot where the toms flew down and strutted all yesterday morning(until the cat came) well at 6:20 2 hens flew down right into my decoy setup at 10 yards...i was thinking ohhhh yea we got them now....BUT of course things couldnt work that perfect, at 6:40 :on the 3 toms I had gobbling off the roost just drop down into the trees instead of flying down, I still thought i would be alright being the 2 hens were right in front of me.....BUT or course, the hens feed off to my left at about 65 yards....and here come all 3 toms and they strut around them..about 10min later 3 jakes come and join the flock(im guessing the same ones as yesterday)( but these were definetly different toms than yesterday....).they would not feed back my way, matter of fact, they fed right to where my blind was yesterday we got some good video of them strutting ....the one had a beard that was dragging by his feet..I would loved to got a shot at him wellI had to be to school so we packed up birdless I cant go again until saturday...so I am contemplating whether or not to break out the 3.5in, being as I have one more seasons to try the bow, becuase right now I am craving turkey jerky

broke down today and busted out the 835, at 6:15 2 jakes came in, and being the season ends tomorrow and I have prom tonite, I popped the bigger one at 10 yards, it all heppened so fast, we only got 10 seconds of video(but great video none the less) at 10 yards my pattern is like a baseball, the jake was pretty well decappitated ;D I still have one more season and I will break out the bow for that...but for now the dehydrator is humming(DROOL) if I can figure it out i will post the video and some pics

Congrats Tyler!! If you need help with that video, I'd suggest using photobucket. They host about 5-6 min's of video now too!
