Today, I decided to go and have a look at an area I have been kinda saving for later in the season, and I am fully sure that nothing is sacred. I wanted to stay out of that area so the birds would stay unbothered, and they would be there when I wanted them. I found four-wheeler tracks EVERYWHERE, and some blooming idiot has been doing controlled burns all over it. Plus, a few permanent deer stands hung smack dab in my area. The last time I was in there, it was pristine, with turkey tracks in every place imaginable. Today I saw no turkey tracks and only a few deer tracks. From what I can tell, I really need to get some luck in area 1, because as it stands, I don't think I have an area 2. I fear that my turkey season may be a bit more challenging than I predicted..
