I haven't yet. But that would be the same for me since the Rem 870 express is what I would be using.

I have no idea, but Michigan DNR law states: shotgun shells with No. 4 or smaller are only allowed for shotgun. No larger than No. 4 for muzzleoading shotgun either.

I reload my own with a mix of regular lead shot. Usualy #5 & #6, but I have loaded as small as 7 1/2 and taken birds with it.

I shoot a Rem 870 Express 3". I have favoured the Winchester Supreme Double X Magnum Turkey loads - copper plated. Most turkey hunters would state that you should pattern your gun using #5 shot (as it is the middle ground so to speak). I personally like #6 shot in the brand I just mentioned.
This year, I am going to try Winchester Xtended Range Hi-Density Turkey Loads, #6 3". A liitle more pricey but I have heard great things about it.
Each gun even of the same make/model will pattern different from the a different gun of the same make/model. So, it is important that you get out and pattern your guns. Take #5 & #6 with you and see which patterns best for YOUR gun.
The types of choke you have in your gun will also determine your pattern. Some chokes work better with certian types of loads than others. I personally use an HS Strut Undertaker tube that is inexpensive and seems to do the job.

I use 4 different guns, killed birds with all of them, my 2 favorites are a model 11 rem. 20 ga., or my sp-10 mag rem. Killed most of my birds with the 20 ga, but the 10 will kill one at 70 yds, with no. 4

I personally like the Remington Turkey load in #4. Out of my 12ga Rem 870, they pattern breautifully out to 40 yards.
