I was suppose to go out this morning, set the alarm last night for 4:30. Go to bed, wake up this morning stumble downstairs like normal, put the coffee on, sit in my chair half asleep until coffee is ready. I see it is kinda bright outside, thinking there must be a full moon. Put my glasses on and damn, the clock says 6:16. Well I was planning on being in the stand by 6:15. Well seeing as how it's about an hour drive to where I hunt it's pretty obvious that I didn't make it.
Well hopefully I'll do a better job next weekend.
Anyone get out? Have any luck?

I was supposed to go hunting this last Saturday, but I got a call from my friend who cancelled. Ha called it off because on Thursday night, at the same place we were to hunt, there was a "heated" confrontation with some other hunters who said they owned the state land my friends were on. To avoid any other type of confrontation they pulled their stands and left. He hunts a few areas, so we should be back out soon. I see him tomorrow night and get the full story then.

it's good to see responable hunters ! It burns my butt when people start trouble with other people but even if your friend called the law and was proved in the right those people might show up and damage a vehicle or catch one of you alone i would notify the game warden but would avoid the area a while

I will find out tonight if he called a CO or not. Thing that stinks is he had taken a 6 point on opening day from that area. His buddy shot a big doe earlier before the confrontation.

I feel safer already!! Thanks kg!! You guys really don't get enough credit for what you do!! I've been racking my brain trying to remember the name of an old friend that was down your way. He was a great guy and for the life of me I can't remember his name!! Oh well, when I do, I'll pass it along.
