If you like huntin them Tree Rats it's time to get them .22 sighted in and ready to go.
I personally will wait until it cools down a bit more, but getting anxious to go.

here in ny during the early season...sept 1st till deer season(nov 20th) i will use my 410 if i am gunning for treerats only(12 gage with low base #6 or 7) while turkey hunting. after deer season i will switch to my ruger 10/22 open sights to add some more rats to the pot ;D

Puts I nice little hole right between their eyes... i hear ya... a friend of mine keeps telling me to put a scope...ect... ect... onto mine ... he comes home empty handed... i come home grinning ;D... the model i own is the match grade.... why mess with it if it already drives tacks ;D

The 10/22 is also my weapon of choice for tree rats. Both of mine are scoped. 2nd most favorite weapon is a 10" .22 TC Contender. I also use the shotgun, but only in areas where a miss with the .22 could prove to be dangerous.
