Anyone use 40.gr V-Max on yotes ? How are the on hide damage ? Regards Bullet I have an NEF chambered in .204 Ruger and that is what I shoot out of it. I am having trouble sighting it in because of the trigger pull(my excuse ). I havent shot anything with it yet because I havent had a good grouping yet. I really want to get the trigger worked on, and see what it does after that. If it doesnt group, then I will switch to the 32 grainers. If that fails to group, then I will have to start trying different brands of ammo. I am going to try and shoot tomorrow. I will let you know how it performs. I will also try and get some pics of the target after I am finished. I am also planning on shooting my .270.

Actually I have a few favorites but my main deer rifle is a Remington .270 BDL w/3x9 Leuopold scope shooting Federal Premium 150gr. Nosler partition. My favorite heavy brush brush rifle is the ole' Marlin 35 Rem. and for bear the Marlin 45/70. If going after Large big game, I would use the Remington 7mm Magnum (that's gettin a little hard on the old shoulder now ) For varmits, I have the old Savage 340 in .22 Hornet.

Jeez-
Where do I start on this one?
1. Remington 721 in 270. Great deer gun. Old and Reliable.
2. Weatherby Mark V Accumark in 30-378. Perfect for elk and any wild game that has the chance of eating me (montana grizzlies to be exact)
3. Ruger Mark I M77 with target barrel and tang safety in 220 swift. Excellent varmint guns!
4. Dan Wesson 1911 in 45 ACP -- Perfect for criminals. ;D
Runners up: Winchester Model 54 in 30-06 Marlin 1895 Guide Gun in 45-70

My favorite, though I don't have it anymore , is a Remington M600 in .308 Win. Best and most accurate hunting rifle I've ever owned. I'd love to have another one again. I wouldn't part with it for anything. redd

Savage rifles are a great buy and a lot of gun for the money. Michi and I are great Savage fans. Next to the Remington M600 I mentioned above, Savage rifles are my favorites. I'm buying one of their new M200 rifles in .308. Can't wait to get it.

Man I can see I have allot of catching up to do, Don't know how I missed this post. I would have to say my favorite all time hunting Rifle's would have to be my 303 British lee enfield with 180 grain bullets, next would have to be my 1936 7.5x54 Millimeter French Mas, & Last but not least my Mossberg Model 472 3030 and an all around great Bush gun too I might add, Now if I could only get this leaver thingy down Pat with the 3030 I might actually hit something with it, As I'm not to much in to leaver action rifle's. ;D Ken

Hey doc, contact NEF and send your rifle back to them for trigger work, I also have the .204 nef in the ultra rifle and sent it back to them because of the terrible trigger. Came back in about 3 week's with a 4lb. crisp clean trigger, my rifle shoot's the 32 gr. under 1" and the 40gr. around 3/4" @ 100 yrds from sandbags, plenty good enough for me. They seem to be a great company to work with. Good luck- Pedo
