Hey Doc do you ever do any JUG fishing? I understand it's great for Catfish. I know it's big down south.

I tried it once, but I dont know what JUGS like to eat. ;D ;D ;D I do jug fish. Haven't caught any monsters, but have pulled some in the 10-15lb. range off the hook. I take 2 liter bottles and paint the end a nice bright color and then put reflective tape on the bottle running length wise for night time fishing. I then take and tie varying lengths of trot line to the end of the bottle. Tie a hook on the end of that with a weight and go catch some bait. If you have some time to kill you can use a rod and reel. We usually use a cast net. I keep the medium and small bream and sunfish, also keep the shad and shiners. I either put the whole fish on or cut the fish up and use the meat, guts, or both. Once I have them rigged up, we start using the trolling motor on high or big motor in the lowest setting and start throwing them out. We put them out at varying depths, some on the bottom, some off the bottom, some suspended. Wood seems to produce the best fish, but rocks do well also. Once they are out, we go and try to catch bass, or just ride around and kill a few hours. A spot light is good at night so that you can see the reflective tape. You will know you have a fish on by the jug bouncing up and down or completely disappearing. If a 2 liter can completely disappear, you have a good fish on. Have a net handy is the only other tip I can give.
