Missin the 2 bottom pics Pete. I've seen similar feeders made out of PVC but with a twist. The bottom is a y-type cleanout fitting. Starp it to a tree and fill at the top. Sounds as though yours may be similar. Here's a pic of the fitting I'm referring to.

Take a look again. Somehow the pictures got moved but it should be ok now. Yeah, I've seen and used those y-type fittings before but the ones I make allow a little more corn to reach the ground and I've found sometimes the bottom of the y fitting will hold water letting your corn sour. Both ways work very well and are lot less expensive than most feeders.

I like that design Pete!! Great idea!! Looks like I'l have to get out and try this!! In the one with a Y, we usually use a strainer fitting to allow for drainage. But your way is certainly cheaper when you figure a y fitting is $10.

Awsome piece Pete, thanks for sharing.
We are starting to get quite a few very nice DIY projects for the Hunters.
Nothing better than saving a little money. ;D

I believe I paid $4.50 for each flange and I had everything else at home. I'm not cheap but this leaves me more money for those really important things.... like bow strings, arrows, broadheads, spare release, Blazer vanes...... ;D

we just take a 5 foot piece of 6 inch pvc pipe and fasten it to a tree with bunge cords with the bottom just 3 to 4 inches from the ground and fill it and put a cap on the end you can build bout 2 of these from a 12 foot stick and 2 caps for normaly under 15 bucks
thats also how i feed Cleo in the back yard it works good when i go out of town
