Ok, here is my new Cut Off Saw and table/jig. Click on image to make bigger This is what I used, but keep in mind I made mine much bigger than needed. Cut Off Saw Item #42307 From Harbor Freight $29.95 Metal Yard Stick cut to 33 1/2" 36" Threaded Rod w/2 connecting nuts 1 - 1/6" metal plate for a stop 1 - Base Board 3 1/2 X 19 X 7/8" 1 - Guide Board 1 1/2 X 20 X 1/2" Various #8 and #10 wood screws All total about $55. But it can definately be done cheaper, especially if you have anything laying around.

That's great Mike.. What R.P.M. is the motor and what kind of a blade are you using on it? Even a total of $55 is a good price for what the end product is.

7800 RPM. I am currently using a 3" Metal Cut Off Wheel made by Chicago. But there are various.
This saw uses 2 or 3" wheels. If you use a 3" you have to take the guard off. They sell a guard for the 3" but I don't currently have it.
