Just went to MI's version last week. Was decent. You guys gotta do me a favor though. If G5 is there, you need to find a guy named Tim and ask him what "GW" is. Tell him Ted "Michihunter" couldn't get a staright answer from Debbie (his finace). Bet he cracks up!!! Also might want to ask him what his punishment was for telling me that!! ;D ;D

Thanks fellow Lodgers! Well, we did have fun in our video debut.....will post a review in the next few days or so, gotta shoot the intro and exit scenes tomorrow.....most likely in the Lodge area of Gander Mt. . Too much background noise, and couldn't find what we considered a good spot to shoot the afore-mentioned scenes. Got some good stuff, will be posting that on our site once finished with post-production(editing). Visit us at our site, www.hoosieroutdoorsman.com ....................'slap............

Do me a favor if you would: if you have a program of the Michigan version, let me know who all the vendors were(archery and outdoors related). Kinda curious if you guys up north are getting any better coverage than us to the south of you are........'slap....

well Lodgers, here it is, a review of the 2007 Indiana Deer and Turkey Expo! This year's DTE was slightly down in attendance, partly due to the recent weather(read SNOW). While there is still a decent crowd, it isn't as hard to get around as it was in '06. The Deer part was not entirely disappointing, as there was information abound. The Indiana Deer Wall of Fame is something to behold...trophy mounts, 3-4 high, for 35 feet! Not to mention 2 mature bucks in cages, available for photo ops. Once again there was a mature elk bull there as well.......this is the second year I've seen this animal there, and it still doesn't fail to impress me in all his majesty. Some thing about being within 10ft. of a bull elk.......and then seeing him swing his head around with that massive rack. I will admit that I'd rather see these creatures in their natural habitat, either just enjoying their majesty, or through the sights on my bow or gun.....tasty critters! The seminar stage was stocked with some great guest speakers this year, among them Mr. Super Slam himself, Chuck Adams. His "Hunting Misadventures" seminar was informative and entertaining. Unfortunately we weren't able to do the one-on-one we were hoping to get.......should've spoke to his publicist beforehand to set up an interview. C'est la vie.... Hunting dogs were well represented this year as well. The local/regional bow shops were somewhat sparsely represented, unfortunately. Girt's Archery from Anderson was there again this year, however. Spoke with them for a few minutes....sadly, Edgell Terry of Storm Archery wasn't present this year. He's still in convalescence from his surgery this past fall, and the weather doesn't help as far as travel. Get well soon, Edge! Bow manufacturer representation was scarce as well. The only well-known(or visible) manufacturer was PSE/Browning. Mathews was well represented by the bows shops, though. Mathews was by far the prevalent bow brand at the Archery range and 3-D contest range. Outfitters were well represented.....seemed like there were at least 10 different ones per sub-aisle....only seen 2 that did anything here in Indiana. Hmm... Of course, the Indiana DNR had a booth, and the Hunter Education booth was a BIG hit as it should be. Support Hunter Education! There was also an ATV demo course....it was a HUGE hit, as judged by the never-ending line to try out some of these new "toys". The Boat, Sport and Travel Show is going on at the same time as well. May post a review of that part of it here soon. Thanks again to Renfro Productions for doing this event, and for issuing Hoosier and I press passes to cover the event. Once again, visit www.hoosieroutdoorsman.com within the next few days for the A/V debut of Hoosier and Slap..........thanks, guys! .....................'slap..............

Impressive!! Nice to compare yours to ours. It appears that you have fewer vendors yet more hands on activities. The ATV pit was something I've never seen before. Great show fellas.

Looks like it was a lot easier to move around than it was last year. Last year there was just too many people for such a small place.
Good Job boys.

Mike, it was loads easier this year than last.....granted, the weather played a deciding role in that, but was a welcome change.
Michi, yes, there aren't as many vendors in terms of hunting-related products. However, there are vendors galore in terms of guide services and hunting preserves. The ATV pit is a new addition for this year's show......the location of the demo course is where the dog show area was last year. I believe the number of hunter product-related vendors will increase with time....hopefully Hoosier and I can help affect change in a positive way......thanks to all for checking out our coverage, and hang in there....my camera skills will improve! LOL.....
