I was expecting to see a pic of Mike fletching his new arrows. You can cut them after they are flectched you know. ;D

What kind of saw are you looking at Mike? They have a great little cutoff saw from Harbor Freight tools that can be easily modified for a fraction of the cost of most arrow saws.

That's the one. They have a harbor freight in Indy. I'm am going that way next weekend to the Deer and Turkey Expo so I thought I would stop and see if they had one in the store.

Glad to hear you are thinking that way. Just a little tip that I've heard. You need to place the blade on backwards to make a good cut. You may also want to check out an arrow squaring device such as the one offered by G5. From what I've heard, it could make all the difference in the world.

That's more than twice as much as you'd pay for the cutoff from HFT. But you bring up a good point about the extras. But in my opinion, you still wouldn't add even another $10 on to the price by doing these things yourself. Time is the key here. How much time do you have to do it yourself?

That depends on how long I want to stay off here. ;D
Yeah I know it's high, that's why I haven't bought it. Hopefully I can manufactur something similar myself once I get the saw. I've got the bandsaw, chop saw, table saw and drill press to do it. Just got to get into the garage and do it. ;D

You know what, I am going to do it. That will be my contribution to the D.I.Y board.

I know all about the "time" factor Mike. One of the main reasons I haven't been here as often as I'd like.
