I don't know how many of you butcher your own deer. I have done a couple when I have time. I wasn't too afraid due to having cut meat for 4 years. I know some of you that haven't have probably wanted to and maybe didn't know where to start. I have been looking for this thread for some time. The board that it use to be on, evidently the guy took it down because he is no longer a member. Anyway, this is the guy I have do mine when I don't do them myself. I'm pretty happy with the way he does them. Just thought I would post it in case you were interested. It loads kinda slow due to all the pics but it is pretty informative. huntingindiana.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=thebutchershop&action=display&thread=1130888702

Thanks Mike. Appreciate all the info I can get about it.
The guy I am hunting with on Saturday, Jayson, does his own butchering. If one of us connects, I will be getting some "hands-on" training.

I am hoping that I need that link before bow season ends. My mother-in-law is coming for New Year's weekend. I am hoping my son is well enough for me to be gone hunting on Dec 31 & Jan 1...the last two days of the season!

Hey we are still hoping for that too. I know you've been itching to get out there but unfortunately haven't made it. I hope you make it out buddy and good luck to you if you do.

Thanks. Even if I can't, I have been out once and saw deer, so it was a good first season. Then I can start scouting for next season...
