Good question. I have an old rod of my dad's. Never saw him fish, but if my grandfather bought it for him, it is a good one. I think it needs new eyelets...possible?

Hello,
Are either of the rods bamboo? My dad could put new ones on if they are bamboo. Just thought I'd bring it up. He's been doing this for 14 yrs. now and does excellent repair and restoration work. Email him at pacacha@verizon.net
Thanks! Hunk

I do it some, Lay the rod across your legs, put the spool of string on the floor and run the string under a book for tension, and spin the rod to apply the string. If you need me to, I have some books I can scan and post the instructions for you.

That will all be in the instructions, and I will take some pics of what I got. I will try to put it up this weekend.

Start with this and I will see if I can find a better book because the one that I have doesn't show much. These people have everything you will need, this is the product I use. www.flexcoat.com/prodex.html

HEY Intruder!!! Whats up dude? My first post! My buddy Mark ties rods. Does a great job too. Bring your rod to work and I'll have him look at it. Bring both sections.
P.S. We call 'em guides.
