Time to upgrade my fishing equipment. Haven't done much in the last couple of years.
Kept telling the wife last year that I wanted to go fishing. But with work and all, just didn't make it.
I will make it this year. But, my equipment is probably older than a lot of our members. ;D
I got an old Zebco 33 and an old Diawa fold up. So as you can see, a new rod or two might be a good thing?
What would you guys recommend for say $40 or less catagory.
I been looking at the Shakesphere open face over at dicks.

ROD'S UNDER $40, You can get a few good deals from Berkley, Shimano, & even Bass Pro Shop have some GREAT rod's for under $40. You can also find some combo's for around that price. Goto www.basspro.com check them out before you buy. I use both Berkly & Shimano rod's myself. ENJOY THE OUTDOORS, TJ-BASSROD2

I've been looking through my BPS catalog, I see that Browning has some good rods for $29 & $40, G-Loomis has a few also, Daiwa, Falcon and Shakespeare's Ugly Stick, the only rod that I know of that you can actually bend in half without breaking it. A lot to look at Mike

If your talking about Shimano's Spirex/Bionic Blade XPS combo that's a good set, I'd take the 7' MH rod with reel SR1000RE page 65 in my book.
