My wife has taken her hunters safety course. She has gone small game hunting with me a few times. She loves going to the range, and kicks my a$$ shooting clays. We actually had deer tags for her this past year, but it was unseasonably cold this year, and her and the cold don't get along very well. Here is a picture of her out squirrel hunting with me about 6 years ago. Sorry for the quality..it didn't scan very well. she loves fishing too. Here is here with her biggest bluefish. She caught it a few years ago while we trolling for stripers.

New England bluefish are the BEST!!! I used to catch them all the time when I lived in Salem, MA. Almost always in the 20+ pound range. Fine catch by your wife. Those fish sure can put up a good fight. Watch out for their teeth!!!

My husband used to hunt with me...infact, he taught me how to hunt and now I like to hunt alone on my stand with my .270 ruger. I was fortunate that he wanted to teach me this great sport. We have shared a lot of fond memories of our deer hunts together.

Thank you all for the nice replies...Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would be deer hunting one day. This dream has lasted approximately 20 years now. I still get excited waiting for hunting season to start. I used to bow hunt and stuck a doe and got blood half way up the broadhead and bent the tip but hit a shoulder bone and it bounced off. It was a big doe. Two yearlings came over a levee and heard her coming and pulled back and shot but was not placed good. I have also muzzeloaded and my husband put my gun together from a kit. It has my initials on the stock...looks real sharp! I had a 4pt. buck and a doe to come out of the woods together and shot the doe and she dropped in her tracks and the 4pt. came back to check on her. I have never seen anything like that before. I just watched for about 15 mins. and reloaded and shot at the 4 pt. Missed! I think my husband would have divorced me if I had gotten a buck & doe that day.

Picture of Bob (TWODOGS) and I taken in Dec. 05. Bob had shot this doe late in the evening and he could not find blood. So by the time I got to him on the 4-wheeler it was dark-thirty and I did not see any blood. No one was at the camp to help us. (Sometimes we hunt during the weekday) So we went back early the next morning and Bob told me about where the doe went in...he had his walking stick and went to the right and I went to the left into the woods from the opened field. It was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. I was in about 100 yards and looked across a revine and thought I saw a deer laying by a log...and went around and it was his doe! The closer I got to it the smaller it got...(so I thought)...when I started dragging this deer it kept getting heavier and heavier. I had to stop several times to catch my breath. Bob yelled to me if I had found it and told him yes, and knew he could not help me until I got closer to the edge of a field. (My husband has had heart by-pass, stroke and has had 2 necks surgeries and L-5 (lower back)...plus 2 stents last Feb and emphysema) I did not want him to drag it out. A tree had fallen and he did help me get it over that and we just took our time...then got it to the 4-wheeler and hoist it on after three attempts. Drove back to the camp and had it weigh...about 115lbs. Could not believe it...so I told him this was the first and last deer I will ever drag out of the woods. I wanted my picture with it. I almost killed myself and was sore for three days. Wanted to share the pics and hunting story with you. So this year have had a grandson, a granddaughter and a daughter to take the hunter's ed course...we now have more help! Yay! Already had two other grandson's that have harvested a 5 pt., and a 8 pt. Also, a step-grandson who got his first deer - a 10 pt. You can read about all this on my website at: www.marianladyhunter.com Check out the story of TWODOGS - it's so funny!! ;D ;D and mariandeer- www.myspace.com/mariandeer

My wife loves to fish . I took her out for the first time about 9 years ago and she is "hooked" . She used to hunt small game , but stopped. I think she might take hunting up again sometime. Right now, if it has feathers and flys she would consider it ... anything with hair and walks ... don't think so. Wish she would though. With her luck the way she out fishes me, I think she would bag some nice big game. Time will tell .
