I changed my post above a little. It is sycamore wood, not maple.

Never tried sycamore. In fact, I'm not sure I ever heard of one made out of sycamore. What's your opinion of it?

It is pretty. Nice deep sound so far. I talked to the call maker and she said she has had a lot of good comments on the sycamore.
